TSHD Willem Senior

Trailing suction hopper dredger Willem Senior is a versatile dredger.

The Willem Sr is equipped with modern systems and software and can therefore work accurately and efficiently. The ship has a shallow draft and good maneuvering properties thanks to the twin-screw propulsion and a powerful bow thruster. This allows the Willem Sr to carry out dredging work in shallow water and/or tight places.

The Willem Sr is equipped with a drainage system. This system extracts the water from the cargo, after which it can be unloaded dry by a shore crane.

The load can be dumped through the bottom doors. The doors do not protrude from under the ship, making dumping into shallow water possible.

Furthermore, wet unloading can be done in various ways, namely rainbowing, through the barge loading arm or by pumping ashore through a pipeline.

High operational reliability is achieved thanks to a double implementation of the crucial systems on board.
