On behalf of Baggerbedrijf De Boer – Dutch Dredging, Filia Dredging dredged the port of Fenit (Ireland) with the TSHD Willem Sr in April and May 2025.
As a result of years of silting, the port had become considerably shallower, limiting access for ships to the port of Fenit.

This was no problem for our TSHD Willem Sr thanks to its shallow draft. The TSHD Willem Sr was able to enter and exit the harbor unhindered, gradually creating space for itself.

In collaboration with the bed leveler Rayador, dredging was carried out extremely efficiently, and even the hard-to-reach areas of the harbor could be dredged.

The combination of a trailing suction hopper dredger and a bed leveler is extremely successful in tight harbors such as Fenit.

The dredged silt was dumped in the designated disposal location in Trallee Bay.
